I'd put it off long enough so I finally felt compelled to send my coin off to see what they'd say about it. Ok first off when I dug it some said it was fake. Ok for those knuckleheads here's what NGC said. It's in a folder, it's original , has AU details, but it came back as being improperly cleaned which is BS! All I did was rinse the dirt off it ! It still has some dirt on it as all of it didn't come off from being rinsed! The guy at the coin shop said the reason they said it had been cleaned is that a coin this old should be pretty tarnished. Now what I didnt tell them was that it was a dug coin.I hoped it would not get that environmental damaged logo stuck to it as it was so nice. Can I help that it came out the sand looking this clean? OH well AU details is decent I guess. Any opinions? I see they said neal's was damaged yet he still got 3500.00 for his. I assure you I havent cleaned this coin. It is as dug, unfortunately not enough tarnish on it for NGC:laughing7:
