1790's Wayne's Legion Pewter button with fully intact shank and other goodies!!!!

I don't like to hunt too much during the summer, mainly because it's too danged hot and today was no exception. My cousin and I were recently granted permission to the remainder of a property that we got permission on early in the year. It's directly across from a previous site we detected for over 2 years and we really didn't need to do research, because we already knew the history of the area. Today we hunted together for about 5 hours in the blazing heat. I ran out of water around noon so I was dying, but the site is unbelievably loaded with signals. Mainly buttons. I managed to snag an 1818 large cent and several buttons and other odds and end buckles and such. The real doozy was the beautiful pewter Wayne's Legion button. It's in great shape with a fully intact shank standing straight up. I'm anxious to return to this site when it cools down a bit. And if you aren't familiar with Wayne's Legion I urge you to read about it. History | Wayne's Legion I haven't seen too many of these buttons posted and more so a little more strange to find them in Virginia. Thanks for looking and HH!
