1781 NA token, LC's, buttons and more. (pic heavy)

these are my finds from 4 trips over the past 2 weeks. The owner gave me permission to detect all his land (old village) and it has been great so far. Finding a lot of cool things and learning a lot of history about the area. Coins, buttons, unfired minie ball and many other things. I also have buckets full of iron. I'm still not sure what many of the things are as I'm still researching and whatnot.

I believe this is a barn hinge and a hair pin

Geo IV, not a common dig.

Yea that's one I wasn't sure about. Date was a little bunched because the bottom got hit with something. I keep outdoing myself each time I go, its pretty incredible actually.

Nice finds, some great coins an buttons there!

What a great site, you have a little of everything, the coppers are awesome

Thanks guys. Yea the weather has been quite mild here in NY so I'm taking full advantage. The owner told me where the garbage dump was because I didn't see it anywhere from walking around several fields or up and down the creek. From what I understand its a hefty size. I'm looking forward to checking that out in the near future, one would think there's some goodies in there.

WOW!!! Those are some AWESOME finds and in damn NICE condition!!!!! Hope that dump turns up some KILLERS..... CONGRATZ

You killed it Captn! Wish it would stop snowing up here.......

Phenomenal! Central NY is only 5 or 6 hours from me. Need company :) In addition to all the great LC's and the half cent, North American tokens don't come out of the ground very often. Nice to see one as it helps prove they actually circulated here. Thanks for posting.

yea I've been reading mixed info on the token. Even with the hole in it I really like that find. thanks for the replies :occasion14:

Yeah, what Don said. I got one of those N.A. tokens 3-4 years back, and I don't recall another till now.
Half cents aren't too plentiful in the dirt for that matter.
Like you said kind of lucky to get a dig in Feb.

very nice finds

Pretty Kool on the ships token. Those coins actually circulated in 1810-1830. Mostly around the Canadian border. They just back dated them to 1781 is all. Pretty collectible actually. Nice find! Hogge

That is a GREAT collection of relics! Still some really good detail on those coins and buttons! Great job!
