This is the third worn out colonial coin from this forested site. No other coinage and I have hit the area hard. The others a Machin's and a CT copper. Sparse scatter of forged nails and a couple of foundation stones. A half a dozen buttons and beautiful small brass collar bell. The coins are deep and come through like a high-pitched whisper. Still a nice feeling to hit the scoreboard with another colonial coin, especially the hard fought ones.

I think this may be a CT since the bust faces left like a KG II. Light weight, off-struck, with a big cud. The most interesting thing about a coin like this is that it demonstrates the counterfeits were needed and well-circulated no matter how ugly.

That's a keeper for sure.
Have you a link, or a picture of the collar bell?
(Not familiar with that description)
