1752 2 REALES and a tribe

Got out to a spot me and rmbutcher have been pounding lately..slowed it down a bit today and it paid off...5 IH's..1881 1891 1902 1903 & 1907..but the big prize for me was my 1st Reale..I believe it to be a 1752 R Reales Mexico..thanks for looking...Looks like a 1 reale not a 2...Thanks Don and Bill

Excellent find JohnnyMac!! But I think what you have based on what I can see in the pic is a 1 reale. Being just a tad larger than an IH would match the size of a 1 reale. And some of the other details are in line with the smaller denomination per my Krause coin book. Regardless, congrats on your colonial silver find.

That is a nice Spanish Silver, but it looks judging by the size compared to the IH's that it be a One Real, not a Two Reales.

Thanks Bill..I did my best trying to make it out.. the reverse it pretty worn and I have zero experience with reales( this being my first) hopefully I'll be an expert soon...thanks again

Thanks everybody..rmbutcher and I got back out out to the same field yesterday and all we had to show for it was 1 wheat penny 1914..what a difference a day makes....Heading to Florida tomorrow for a vacatiion but I'll be back out there next week
