1743 REALE and more; up-dated pix

Wow, Rick and I couldn't have asked for better conditions, mostly sunny weather and cool temps and a fielded the was groomed to perfection. We have done this field several times befor but we just couldn't pass up on a freshly disced field.
I managed to get 7 coppers up, mostly all in bad condition but I will try to get them cleaned up tomorrow, lots of pewter pieces and buttons and one small tombac with a snowflake design on it, and of course a nice Spanish 1 reale.

Tombac cleaned up: Group shot with iron & scrap finds

The coppers 1 Penny and 5 Half Pennies are all but gone, can't make out a thing on them. One turned out to be a 1912 Canadian LC instead of a colonial copper like the rest. Also picked up a nice black glass bottle neck.

HH everyone,

COME ON......GET IN.:headbang:

That Reale is fantastic condition! Nice finds! Great relic saves!
Got to hunt it while you can!
Your right MsBB, the farmer will soon be planting that field with winter wheat or hay so we have to try and get back there soon.

Thanks everyone, I just added some more pix of the stuff after cleaning, I am not sure about the little baby spoon (Rick found one too) I thought it might be silver at first but now I think it is made from the same matrial as the tombac buttons. If you know, let me know please.
Thanks,
ZDD

Yeah that field was just like hunting in your living room, red velvet carpet hunting.

Funny, and sad that the both of us are so blind we couldn't see what that coin was in the field, I did predict it was a one real, but the was based solely on the size of it. It is in nice condition too. Sooo glad we each got one.

Good luck out there today, sorry I couldn't make it. I'll probably be kickin' my butt for not going.

A BEAUTIFUL uncut pistareen! Congrats!!

Great job on the coins Dave. Maybe a cut piece will show up for you next.

I hope so Bill, I was out today looking for some new sites but got skunked so a nice cut silver would make me feel alot better.
