Working through centuries of trash it seems. Still nothinh from the colonial era.

The wood working tool is cool. Anyone know what it is? uploadfromtaptalk1471708159704.jpg

Aaron,

Keep thinning out the shallow targets and the period stuff will pop up eventually.....I was detecting a circa 1920's school yard many years ago it took me a couple of years to clean out the top 4" or so of targets and that's when the keepers started showing up just have to be patient.

Yep, used for making spokes in wagon wheels. I have a couple in my shop.
Oh, really cool. So must be late 19th early 20th century?

Great finds! You'll be going back to that site for a long time.

My Brother is looking over my shoulder with this. He's a very long time cap gun enthusiast. He identifies the derringer as a Nichols DynaMite from the 1950's up to '65 (when Nichols was bought out).
