#17&18 Silver. Is this button anything good?

I stopped for a short hunt on the way home from work and had a fun hunt. This site I'm working keeps paying off. I found a couple silver and some other goodies. Has anyone ever seen one of these buttons, it was very deep. Almost everything I'm digging at this site is old so I think this button is old. Help?

The button is a US great seal button. The army started using them in 1902. Your's looks to be WWI-WWII period.
