Well, I dug a 1583 sixpence this year and 3 hammereds last year (1594 and 1606 sixpences and a Charles I shilling) and never made banner. All dug here in the SE Virginia along with the 2 scattered caches posted above (which do not include these last 4 coins). Here are the pics of those 4:

I agree, you were taken short. Yours was a no brainer, & so is this, in a slightly lower bracket. (but stilll up there)
