What size is it? Can you post a reference? Judging by the back of it; it doesn't look like a coin. The 4 post looking areas appear to have had a bracket or some type of attachment like to a rosette, buckle, cufflink, etc. The size of it will help. Breezie

hi thanks for the reply found out what it is now. its a 1590 dutch Revolts token :)

These tokens were issued by the City Council of Groningen and were tariffed at three stuivers. They were used to enable Council Members to obtain beer and wine at the Rathskeller (Town Hall restaurant). The four dots on the reverse are actually part of the token design.
