14KSP? Nugget Ring...

Hello all,,,
Went to one of the older local parks today, for a change, and only found (13) cents. One dime and three pennies. So, I stopped by the place I call the Indian Graveyard to dig some pull-tab signals. Back when I hunted this site I found over (25) IH's, but I never dug too many pull-tab signals... The first tab signal I hit produced this 14KSP Nugget Ring. I couldn't believe it... It was giving a square-tab signal and was only about 3" to 4" inches down. I'll be going back to dig some more soon...

Sure was a thrill to see when I saw it,,, lol...
Ain't this a pretty site?


Anyone have a clue as to what the "SP" stands for? Is it worth anything?

Judging on the range it read on your metal detector and the look of it,i'd say it's definitely 14k.

And yep rtde3, it's my birthday today (27th). I just usually try to run my specialty Avatars for at least a week. I think I've got a different avatar for all the different holidays, & special events now.

I believe 14ktsp would indicate the object is 14kt gold plated sterling silver.

It clearly says 14k SP. That's the manufacturer's or jeweler's mark. If that ring ain't solid gold, well alloyed, I'll eat my socks.

Great find of a ring man.

EDIT: The SP company says they started in 2002, and that style of ring is older than that.
