Probably my last hunt of 2024 today. crystal clear salt water up to my waist very close to an amusement park that was destroyed in a 1960 hurricane. I found two Jefferson nickels, one buffalo, some square cut brass nails a few pounds of sinkers then this small 14K ring, Its scratched pretty good but otherwise in great shape. Hope you all get in a last hunt for 2024, the clock and count resets in a few hours!

^ Nice find Mike ! Congrats ! Happy to see you are still at it. Any hunting area near an old amusement usually yields some good finds. Must have been Hurricane Donna in 1960. We got hit in Boston too.
Best wishes for a happy, healthy and fruitful 2025.
Always enjoy your posts and underwater finds.

Oldie for sure.

Who wouldn't like to end the year with a find like that. Good for you.
Thank you. I very rarely clean and polish but this is the ring I might. There is no wear from wearing it and not much damage. these are the nails I found is the area the ring came from.

Congratulations on ending the year with an old gold.
I'd say possibly Victorian, looking at the design and the style of the face (shield)

A long time ago someone told me that these places like boardwalks and hotels (We had plenty around here of each) would sell these rings as souvenirs for kids and sometimes engrave them on site. The second part in his explanation was a copy of an old sears catalog and when you look in the section with jewelry you could find these exact rings in all different styles. I don't remember the exact cost but recall under $5. It made a lot of sense when I thought of all these small rings of the same styles and where I found them.
