Congratualtions on the nice Gold! :occasion14:

Excellent find! WTG

Very nice. I hope you got some really great pull tabs from there too!

I am right there with ya, no other feeling like it. Congrats on a very nice gold ring and Merry Christmas!

I know exactly what you are feeling. I still keep looking at mine. Does it have a makers mark?
Awesome find.

Nice going on the gold wedding band! I need to start beach detecting!

The beach hunter 300 is great, although I don;t live at the beach anymore :(.
Now matter what you get, you need to practice and learn the machine.

I pulled a $1.08 of clad, plenty of pull tabs, bottle tops, tin foil, aluminum cans (whole, crushed and buried deep), tokens, some iron pieces, hair pins, hahaha. My back still hurts.....
The ring is Art Carved (vendor/designer) 14K, size 9.

Hope I am wrong but it looks plated to me

No, it's real.
I'm a gemologist by trade and where I work, we carry this vendor, so no guessing on this one :)
It was a lot duller, and I buffed it and used a flash, so it does look a little 'too bright'.

You are right, the weight gives it away as real 14k. Nice find. I LOVE the dry sand.

Yea that would have made my day too! Great recovery man. I plan to hit a city park tomorrow which is all sand and was a civil war camp.

Glad to hear it, I have also prowled the sand this year with success.
I would say a majority of guys these days who head to the beach are almost exclusively water, I'm probably about 75% water 25% sand.

I don't make it to the beach too often. :(
I'm sure great finds are in the water, but the dry sand is soooooo much easier to go through, haha.

please don't take this the wrong way
you went on vacation, detected ONE day and found a gold ring?

I hate you

for the past 4 years I go on vacation to beaches and detect for hours each day
I have yet to find a gold ring anywhere!
