12.5" Imaging Coil For GTI 2500

I'm thinking about getting the 12.5" imaging coil for my GTI 2500. From what I've read it gives better performance in mineralized soil (not a problem for me) and helps detect larger targets at greater depth. My main interests are coins, jewelry, and smaller relics such as buttons and medallions.

My question is will this coil give me significantly greater depth on coins, jewelry and other smaller targets? My intuitive guess is that it probably should, but any input from those who are already using it will be greatly appreciated.

It will gove you more depth and more coverage the problem comes in when your in a more trashy area or if there is more then 1 target under your coil at one time. I use my 12.5 mostly on field sites and stick with the 9.5 in yards and playgrounds. Look on ebay for them you can probaly get a good deal on one. The GTI now come with both coils when you buy it mine did.
