Love those soccer fields! Way to go and keep em coming!

Nice job, Mike!!

You did very well. Looks like a previously unsearched elementary school. It doesn't look familiar to me. Your pic reminded me of md'ing Classical Middle School back in Jan. I pulled 7 silver rings from there, some silver coinage, and lots of quarters.

Congrats,

Nice finds M.---Three rings in one day is hard to beat. WTG

Soccer fields can yield great finds, although most of mine came along the edges of the basketball court. In all, there were four baseball diamonds, one volleyball court, three soccer fields and two basketball courts. Wish I attended this elementary school growing up. Plenty of open space!

A most excellent day, congrats on the great rings and reaching that 100 mark!!

Smiles!

Thanks BDoo. After that hunt, I crashed hard. Most of the finds were turf digs at 3-5".

Not easy by any measure.

Your speculation about the property being unsearched might prove true. Or atleast, not for a number of years considering the numerous coins coming out of the ground. Plenty of coins were dated from the 70-80's. Many of the digs were at 4-6". I boosted my pre-amp gain to squeeze more depth. This hunt lasted 3.5H.

Here I am relaxing taking the weekend off from detecting after a bad week for me which included coil problems and I see your post! :) Kind of wish I went out now....I have not been hunting much or for two long the last couple of weeks...but this was a great hunt....I was goin to work out your pcv...but did not see a total amount...would be interesting with all those quarters. I saw someone the other day had a per coin value over 11 cents, you might be right there...fantastic hunt...I would hit that same place again and see how you do!

pcv was relatively good for this hunt...

41 quarters
33 dimes
35 pennies
8 nickels

pvc = $14.30 / 117 = 0.12

Wow for digging different coins that is excellent! :)

M, love the rings! Awesome amount of quarters, with one being bent up you've got a whole roll in one day! Cool. Hit that one with a hammer.

Wow, 2 basket ball courts? I like to hunt around them also. Do pretty well. Looks like a good place to hunt. Did you get your coil fixed?

On the 6" Blue max which was broken last week, I used superglue and tape. I'll be buying a coil cover later this month. I didn't hook it up the coil to the detector yet but think it will work since the circuitry is intact.

I gave my coil a rest and used the 9.5" stock coil which produced for me in this hunt. The open field was relatively clean. Out of 120 objects managed, I recall only 4 targets being pull tabs or foil. Not bad, huh?

That's a big haul!

You really worked that field properly. Those rings look very nice!

Congratulations!

Very good! Did you have them noched out? I hav'nt ever put my large coil back on after putting on the 5.3 blue max. Love the way it pinpoints.
Stay away from those pesky tree's!
