Hello and greetings to all. I was attending a estate auction when I came upon this 112 pound or right around that weight this giant hand chipped round stone. Of course I bought it. My question is what is it? And is it native American? I believe it is because there's a small groove in it as seen in the pictures. What would be the value on something like this? Please help. Thanks and kind regards, Robert

i don't think its native American made.

There is no documented items like this that I have ever heard of in 56 years. Nor have I ever seen anything related like this and this size at any relic shows.

to me, it looks like one of the large limestone type ornaments made in the late 1800's - early 1900's that can sometimes be seen in old park areas on top of a column or the like.

If memory serves me correctly, I am pretty certain that Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone were avid bowlers. You will have to consult with an expert, but I am pretty sure you have found one of their bowling balls. Nice find!

While traveling the outback of Australia.
We camped a few days at the Devil's Marbles.
This is a screen shot of the area.
Big and just plain huge some were.
