11 REASONS WHY NOT TO BUY TESORO

I can bet the batteries in a Nox or Deus won't last 14 years. Maybe not the detectors either...

I would not want a cell phone that lasted 14 yrs either. I would have hoped tech would had moved on a little by then...

The rechargable batteries in the Nox are a money saver for sure....there are a few down sides to them not being a changeable pack like the Excal or etrac. For one you can't just carry a spare and then if you forget to recharge or are in a remote location you could be in trouble. But I don't mind it too much, most cellphones are the same way.

Just like cell phones you can carry a portable USB charger to charge it up with, but don't do it while in or near water.

I love my Tejon , tho I did have to send it in last Spring but Hey! it's 14 years old.

It def , hit's on all silver tho it would likely overload on a 10 ounce or more bar , I hope I'd check the signal anyway.

I found A Half Dime with it , numerous Percussion Caps , It loves the little , Stuff , For me it's (like my 1266-X ) a specific machine.
It dose work.

As for the the deus. A depth monster it will never be. The tejon and vaqueros are depth monsters, and a deus will never compare. When a tejon or vaquero is detecting a dime at 12 inches, a deus will not even make a peep.

You think a vaquero is deeper than a deus? I tested both in my soil and that was not the case...

Wow again!

The first signal I dug with my old Tesoro Golden Sabre Plus turned out to be a 1561 Elizabethan sixpence - in a MD farm field.

I loved my old flip phone. Fit better in my front pocket and you could probably park a truck on it and not hurt it. Unfortunately, texting took too long.

This Deeptech Vista Warrior looks pretty impressive.

I saw someone in the woods this morning across from my house . He had what I thought was a gun but when I got the binoculars out I saw what it really was. It was a Tejon that had saw this thread and died.....lol It went to detector heaven. I brought him over to my house and showed him the Equinox in the test garden and his grief was change instantly into joy.:laughing9:

I used a flip phone till a couple years ago. Switched to a smartphone and realize its way better tool …...can see where im at in the woods in real time.

I looked at the deus, but I'm uninterested in cordless coils and headphones, and charging all the pieces separately. Not to mention they are being sued by Tecnetics. So being such a new company, their future hangs in the balance. I think they only have a couple of detectors on the market, and neither run multi frequencies, but only one at a time.
.

I think you are completely wrong, XP was founded 1998 and is making the best machines on the market, at least for european soils. The company has a great future. The Deus for example was introduced 2009 and is still ahead of the game. Simultan multi frequencies are a nice feature but not necessary for good finds, in Europe good iron discrimination, fast reactivity and sensitivity to small targets are very important, but also lightness and balance. As analogous detector I would prefer a GMP.

I'm sure they are nice detectors, but I would say the price is about $800.00 to high.

That guy has probably seen your videos and figures that anywhere near your house would be a good place to find some deep treasures with the Tejon...

My Tesoro machines land me great stuff. Seeing that sick Cibola at a time like this with Tesoro’s business in its current state, just makes me sick. I have only ever had Tesoro’s because they have treated me so well since I bought my vaquero in 2015. I could be doing my self an injustice by not branching out, but that’s the thing about Tesoro fans, we are not opposed to other tech or brands, or using other machines ourselves, but we mostly choose to spend our money on these because we know what they can and can’t do well and they really do have a language in that “1 tone” that admittedly can be hard to understand on the lower tone machines like the V and the cibola. But none the less I have dug a lot of deep holes for tiny targets with the vaquero. But I think what I want to know most, is answer to a post earlier in this thread about c. Digger asking to buy a nice Tejón or vaquero. Why? To prove something else? I have only watched one of your videos but have you ever just taken a known good Tesoro on a long hunt in one of your better sites? Just you, no camera, no creating tests in your yard, just a raw hunt. I wouldn’t need it filmed, your word would be enough, but just take that vaquero or Tejón that you may have bought and try using it with the manual from scratch on your own. Tell me honestly that they aren’t capable. And maybe you have...
