Hey everyone,
Been hunting as much as I can with everything going on. Mostly these finds came from a park from the 1880's and a old golf course I got permission to hunt that dates back to the 1890's. It has been pounded but the V3 is still pulling out some deep misses.
I also got a a nice big flat colonial button I think it's a tombac. With a really old broken crotal bell. I went fishing here opening day with my mom. Well it was way to cold for fishing after about 2 hrs. So we were in this big park all wooded with a lake. We decided to swing the units some in the woods.
We were in this pinbarren area of the woods. It was worn down and used. Was finding clad left and right looking for deep signals. I get a zinc reading deep at 7 on the screen. I dig down about 9 inches maybe and a old disk rolls out. It was a big colonial button. That got me thinking for sure. You could see a faint dirt rd coming into the place. But it was nicely graded.
I think I may have been right ontop of a cabin site. I gotta go back and search the site more. Other than that just a few hrs here and there at the parks and where every I can get to. Been learning the v3 capablities now pretty well. I hit my deepest silver today at a good 9 maybe 10 inches. A really nice 1937 merc.
The signal was crakled and even hit the iron but with the full gain turned up on the unit I was able to get a chirp plus a high forties signal witch was good enough for me to investigate. I got some more learniong to do with this unit. It's gonna be a really good unit once I get it all down pat.
Good luck
