11" DD bi-axial coil or new 10" DD solid coil for Gold Bug Pro for meteorites?

Wanted to hunt for some meteorites in my area and I wanted to update the small 5" DD coil on my Gold Bug Pro to something larger to get more depth.
I can't seem to find many differences between the 11" DD bi-axial coil or the new 10" DD solid coil that Fisher is selling. Price-wise they're about $10 apart.
Which would work better for searching for deep iron targets?

You are in an area with high mineralization. You may have to run a little lower sens. with a larger coil. Just saying.

I tried a standard model Digital Gold bug (ground grab only) at the beach for a few days and can say that the All metal mode is fine and Ground balanced the salty sand quite well from the dry into the water.
Detection depth on coins was very good and I recovered several coins at between 10 and 15 inches. Was able to run gain at max but 75% was better due to less chatter.

The Disc Mode is all but useless on wet beach sand and the detector would not signal on largish coins until the coil was approx 2 to 3 inches above the coin, so give the disc mode a big miss in the wet sand. In the dry things were a bit better and I did ping a few coins at approx 8 inches. With full TID available in the All metal Mode I see little use for the Disc Mode.
If any small chains and rings and other tiny items of jewellery pass within range of the coil the Bug will be very unlikely to miss them in AM Mode.
Overall I realy like this detector and it will be comming to the beach whenever I go there.

Response from Fisher about the differences between the two coils: "Difference in both would be depth, the 11" would reach 1-2 inches more than the 10" depending on soil conditions."

In addition to my previous post.
I was using the 11 x 7 biaxial and found it to be a significant improvement over the standard coil. Better depth and good ground coverage and still retained sensitivity to very small items. I felt that pinpointing was a bit iffy which had me chasing some small items and coins that were edge on to the coil, but aside from that I like this coil for beach detecting.

Chris, long time no talk. I lost my cellphone and your number and bought a new cell and just got a new number instead of porting the old number. From the last time we talked I have moved into a completely different direction in my gold mining. Still have the GB Pro and use it mainly to scan everything we dig that we classify over 1/2". How have you been? Keith

Hey Keith, I've been pretty good. Just been waiting on the weather to get better before I go out and detect some more. It's been really cool lately and I've had some time off so I've been out detecting a little. Haven't had any luck nugget hunting so I was thinking of detecting for some meteorites. Those suckers can literally be anywhere. Good to hear from you.

Get the larger coil to cover more ground. I have the 11" and it is plenty deep on my F75. I dont have a clue how it would work for any other hunt, just saying meteorites will make the machine sing. Most found in this area are 5' inches or less. Havent seen the meteorite shows or one guy who was pretty good at it no more on youtube.
