Yep! I gave my high school ring to my GF in 1975 in Pensacola, Florida while in Navy school. We broke up right before I left for Guam duty. I never heard from her again. I assume she took it to a pawn shop or something & got some change for it. But little does she know, I still know where her family is! I have plans to go to HER next high school reunion & snatch hers off her finger! Not really! Maybe one of you guys around Pensacola might find it one day!

I decided to hunt a school that I had never hunted before . I found the best find of the three hour hunt in the first 30 minutes ! I had a +26 VDI on my Whites M6 at 5 inches and thought maybe gold ? I was right !! I saw a beautiful gold ring at the very bottom of the hole . I didn't know it was a class ring till I popped it out of it's dirt cocoon . It has a full name on the inside and as I type this up already have a lead on the owner . If it's the right person she is just up the street from my Parents , only a couple of miles from me ! Total clad for three hours is $14.34 !
I'll hope to have it back to her by tonight ! I'll keep you all posted .

Update on the return . The owner got back to my wife through Facebook and said her schedule has been crazy this week . It was her Birthday yesterday and she has a 17 week old baby , her hands are full !! I'm hoping this weekend I can finally meet up and get her ring back . . I'll keep you all posted.

I love the colour of the gold on that beauty!

That ring was 5" down and is dated 1999, that thing sunk down really fast!
I'm sure the owner will be very happy to see it again!

I finally talked to the owner today . We will meet on Christmas Eve so I can give her the class ring back !! It turns out she lost it 16 years ago and on the day she lost it they searched the whole field and could not find it . She said it makes her so happy to have it back . I'll post pictures of the return this weekend . This hobby is GREAT !!

I'm thinking she lost it early after getting it . Maybe freshman year ? Around 1996 ?

You can order your ring before you graduate. She probably got it as a freshman or sophmore.

I just got off the phone with the owner !! We will finally meet up on Wednesday at 4pm so I can get her ring back to her . I will get some good pictures of the return .

Ring returned !!! Jessica came over to my house and I gave her pictures of the ring when I found it and then gave her the class ring . She had lost it in her Freshman year of high school not too long after getting it . As it turned out she went to a different school for her final two years and never got another class ring . She is very happy lady
