:) :) My wife was having a get together with some women from our church and had instructed me to do some extra cleaning around the house! So I was getting some dust off of a piece of furniture and took some things off the top and underneath was 10 crisp 100.00 bills...........I called her and asked her if she remembered staching any money in the house!! I think it had been there awhile because she didn't remember it right away!!! She's calling it our vacation money now though!! I guess it could not really be classified as treasure hunting, but the sweating part (working) is about the same as being on one of my dry runs (not finding anything)!!!! Even though it was our own money, it was a surprise!! Later, Nascarfan ;D

hmmm ok now a test....leave a couple hundred in your pants pocket and see if it goes into the vacation fund or if it becomes laundry fees.

You're lucky to have a 1000.00 to stash away. The most I can save up is the clad coins I have found. Good job and hope you guys have a great vacation!

Excellent!

I thought I was doing well when I found a $50 American Express Gift Cheque in an "junk drawer" I was searching through.

You guys are nuts!! The one thing I thought about when I called her and asked about the money was that she kinda hesitated.........to me, it was almost like she had more stuff hidden elsewhere in the house!!!! My mind was moving, couldn't help it!!

We are always talking on here about how little time we have to get out and detect.............That is my problem, just too much going on to justify going out!!! So when you do these little things, that are BIG to your wife.....she kinda lets me go out and dig until my heart's content!!! All about balance! And I hope she is not testing me... hehe!! Congrats on the find!

I found $250 between the ironing board and cover many years ago. We were young marrieds at the time so that was alot of money to us. We did a VERY quick mental check of all the bills due and then headed to the mall within 20 minutes to blow it!

oops! Sorry :)
I made a leather cover for my keyboard to keep the pepsi out :)

I Think she left it there for you to find so you could buy a new detector. How sweet of her

she knew it was there the whole time, the only reason she paused was because she was thinking "damn, i need a new spot now" just think of all the times you gave her money to go shopping with, lol, its most likely your money anyway.

never underestimate the female mind!!

ps, just kidding of course
good score

That is so much fun, finding stashed money. A couple of months ago, I bought
an old 1970's era, pair of knee high fashion boots. I was putting some shoe trees
into the boots, and I unzipped one boot and there was $282.00 rolled up in the toe
area. Needless to say, I was PUMPED! I also know of a manager of a thrift store
that told me one of his employee's found $8000.00 stashed in a cowboy boot.
I think I would have heart palpitations if that happened to me!!

There is no justification to keep that kind of information from your husband. Talk about double standards >:( There are so many moral and ethical reasons this type of behavior should not be condoned. :-*

ROFL :D :D :D :D :D

The ol ball and chain tried to stash $2500 about six years ago. I stole it put it in a CD and now it's close to $3200.I don't think she knows it's gone. If your going to work for money make the money work for you in return. Why collect dust when you can collect interest.
