Congrats to your son! Believe me, you want live that down! :laughing7: :icon_thumright:

Oh that's wonderful..

Takes me back to when I was his age. Early 1950s with my parents towing a house trailer. We stopped at an old house in the middle of no-where. An ancient, white haired woman living alone in the residence took me aside. Told me about indians that once lived in the area. Told me that as a child she found arrowheads left by those indians. She opened a tiny box and gave me two of them. I figure her age at over 100. So she had found those arrowheads back around 1860. I have them on my desk in front of me now. The old woman died and turned to dust long ago. When I roll those arrowheads around in my 64 year old hands, she is still alive. I can see the smile on her face as she put the arrowheads into my child's hand.

he read all your posts and said thanks to every one!!!
it was at Muckelshoot casino,
he has a detector already (a whites prizim5)
and i already tryed to tell him to give me that and stop picking things up off the ground!! he didnt budge!!
as far as him saveing it? well i told him he could spend it on what ever he wants, and i think he will end up keeping it forever trying to make up his mind
on what to spend it on!!
again, thanks for all the coments, he was excited to see what coments were posted on here, as soon as i got home from work he was asking can we check the TN fourm? can we? can we? can we? huh huh huh can we? and see what they said about my find!!!

since it was found "in bound" to dinner --you shoulda yanked his chain and told him ---guess the whole familys dinner is on you tonight. ;D

Your kid is like I used to be and still am lucky, that is once in a while. Why dont you take him to the bank and do some coin role hunting, you might just get lucky again. Nothing ventured, nothing gained it just stays the same.
The Plumber.

hmmm the kid's got some free "seed" money to coin roll hunt for silver now --since he buys at face value and the coins will always be worth "face value" -- theres no way to lose money in the process -- if he finds silver set it aside replacing the silver coins at face value -- its a fast and easy way to earn extra cash --and / or hoard up a silver stash -- for whatever reason you like

Something that he'll remember for many years to come. :hello2:
I still remember a mouse chewed $10 bill myself and brother found while hunting for beer bottles along the highway.
I bought a snorkel and mask. That must be close to 45yrs ago.

very nice find, soggy or not

Good for him! My mom lives near one of their casino's...... Someone has far too much money if they keep $100 bills in their pocket and simply drops one of them in a hurry to get in to their favorite slot... The only time I have lost near that much money was once when I lost my wallet while fishing...
