10 Silver, 77 Wheats!! A Week's Worth...

Hello Everyone,

Wish I had something spectacular to show all of you, but I'm still happy that I'm finding silver coinage in hard-hit areas of a couple of good producing LA parks. Some of the silver were in hard-packed dirt on a hillside, while others were 7-9" deep in the turf. A couple were actually only a few inches under the soil, probably from gopher activity.

My SE is working flawlessly, but my original X1 probe has been going berserk. I decided to get a new one, and what a difference a new probe makes.

There's been so many great finds on Tnet. Everyone is doing fantastic!

Thanks for looking!! Keep the Passion High!!

HH,

Congrats Dan! You're still pulling 'em out. As you mentioned to me in a post reply, it does feel good to go back to a hard hit place and pluck out a keeper. Keep the silver and vids coming Dan.

Dan,
Nice work. You are the master silver machine. We are going to have to hit the turf together again in the near future. I am moving to PA in a few months so I'd like to hit the turf together again before we move. I am working on a spot for us.
Take care,
Turtleman
P.S. I am always amazed at the number of coins that the lawn mowers get out here. Looks like it has been happening for a long time.

Nice batch Dan
Hunted to death....pounded....and now "Minelabbed" sites are all I have left after 30 years of beating places. You know what though brother?...there's still silver and wheaties left in places as you are showing. I still say I would rather sweep the SE like a slow motion broomstick for 2 hours and pull just one silver dime...over a handful of clad...any day of the week :icon_sunny:

Yo, Dan the Man, it is good to see you yanking out the oldies in style still. Those past hunters were just amateurs compared to you and your buddies.

I love that Minelab Serious Detecting artifact that you include with your recoveries. You have every right to be proud of your machine, because I haven't seen anyone else even come close to competing...with any other brand.

As always, keep the fever high, my friend!

Thanks, Bryce. I'm still waiting for a whole week, where I get completely skunked, but it hasn't happened yet. If I get 1, I'm a happy-camper!! ::)

Thanks, Goio.

Thanks, Rob!! It's all relative...you're finding things over 100 years older than me.

Real nice coins and beautiful 44 merc. Jim.
Thanks, Jim! Sometimes those silvers come out of the ground in mint condition. Other times, they are clipped by the lawn mowers, or are really oxidized.
