Hello T.Neters ! :hello:
Today in two hours , but this field has already been done four times this year, but always gives me good finds of all periods .... today pewter pilgrims Badge to sixteenth or seventeenth centuries , a broken Roman coin with the face of Emperor Constantius and a fragment of a funerary urn of lead, it may be Romana (last summer retrieve another piece of the same urn in this field).

Yeap, we have them here, but I've never had one as nice, they are very collectable & tell a great story. Mostly that of the poor who was only allowed out of the Villiage to such a Pilgrimage (maybe once in their life). They had more local ones in groups to nearby Churches once a year.

Can you identify the shrine from which a badge came?

Whoa! That pilgrim badge blew me away! If only we could put it in a machine that would show a video of the things it saw before it was lost! Lot of history behind it. Good digs!

Nice finds. Always jealous of you guys across the pond. Always getting the real old stuff. I especially like the Roman stuff. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
