The small hex object is an old Model T valve stem retaining nut I believe.

Nice morels! I have been hunting a large park for the last 20 years and about 15 years ago I stumbled on a patch of them under a crab apple tree. I kept my mouth shut and can usually get 15-20 every year. I don't take them all and shake the ones I get. The problem in this park is the mushrooms start growing when the grass starts growing. The park employees run them over without even knowing. Get them while we can!

Every year is different here. Last few years I found around 1 dozen per year. This year I have 40 and the big yellows aren’t up yet.🤞
