What's beneath the surface has always fascinated my curiosity.
This remarkable relic was recently unearthed on our past Presidents day here in the States.
I know what a 💩📺 🤣 at the moment but, let's not loose topic!
Unknowingly, I was unaware of this relics identity & past purpose...
I was too shocked to do a gold dance when I pulled these out of the hole. With a shallow, 8 on my Nox I almost didn't dig what turned out to be one of my best finds ever: gold, intact, cufflinks with the Tudor rose. A little research I think they are mid 1700's, not military but someone...
Well i finally got around to hitting the beach up this weekend. i am way more interested in historical items. But with the proximity of the fort being so close, i thought what the heck. It could be the best of both worlds. Since the state wont let me metal detect any where inside the historic...
I dug this brass object in an old farm that dates back to the 1700s. Its about 2" , has two small pins and a ring. Looks like a moving part from something. Any ideas?
Hi everyone,
I found this at a digging event in Tarboro, NC. It’s probably 2in x 1in, and has two white leaf patterns on the back. I’m told it’s likely a colonial clog clasp. Can anyone confirm this is what it is? And approximately the age?
Thanks
This week I received my new Deus 2 and decided to try it out on a recently acquired 250+ acre permission along a colonial-present road. Started the day walking towards what I thought was the original home site and found a few flat buttons along the way. The Deus 2 performed amazingly! At the...

Pulled this 2 piece button out, thought it was a coin at first. The front of the button immediately separated and fell to the ground where it broke in half. You can barely touch it without it disintegrating, bummer. Any help with ID would be appreciated. Amazed to see the thread is still...
New to forum found this yesterday. Curious on your thoughts of when it is from. My facebook group thinks Revolution or 1812. Has anyone seen this one? Google image searching hasn't helped
Hi everyone,
I found what seems to be a toasted old copper coin while metal detecting on a local Chesapeake bay beach here on the Eastern Shore of MD. The most I can make of it are some lines and what seems to be an "EOR' word fragment; this thing is worn down to a disc. In addition to pictures...
Good morning Metal detectors, treasure hunters, and hobbyists! I hope you are enjoying this lovely first day of April! In Southeastern PA right now it is a beautiful 63 degrees and is bright and sunny with happy cumulus clouds! It's a perfect day for metal detecting!
