Digging a new field which is huge, we've already found two sites but both faded pretty quick, will continue to look for that next iron patch!

Finds were a neat buckle, ramrod thimble (my 3rd this year - weird) 4 toast coppers including a 1700s Hibernia, and of course the usual odds and ends. (The second pic is the first hunt finds which I didn't post)

Neat Eagle backmark button. Too bad the design is covered, but I think it's an eagle holding a shield and an anchor within, I have found another along this same river.

1785 Artillery button.

and last but not least... Spanish slump is over with this 1778 Half Real. Not a real beauty but it's a start! :-X

Anytime dude. Walking new fields is working out fairly well so far.

You had a great day IP, you are just going to have to send to me those "crusty" coppers, I will take care of them for you. :)
Nice buttons, wow, it is great you get so many of the different varieties of military and civilian. My last Military ones were two 1820's Naval buttons in March.
Glad your drought of Spanish silver ended, maybe you will get a bunch of them by this fall (1-2 more ::) )

Yes, 3 total I would consider a bunch as slow as they've been for the last few years. All added up I average about two a year. Buttons on the other hand aren't really a problem except for finding the same ones over and over.

Man, I would love to have just one hunt like that!!!
Big time Congratulations!!!

That is an awesome silver!!! Congrats!

now thats an excellent hunt

As to the condition of the silver, it's better than mine! Congrats on some great finds.

At least there weren't any chunk-blowing, yacking sessions by you or one of your buddies. :D

Congrats on the nice finds. Thats a neat button.

Ty your last 3-4 hunts have been just as good as this one if not better... Awesome job Iron!!

Not a real beauty but it's a start!

Heck I think if I found something like that I might just quit detecting while I was a head of the game!!!!

Awesome.

Hey buddy--EXCELLENT hunt there.

The artillery button is my favorite of the finds (although there is a soft spot in my heart for the old silver.)

We've got some nice goodies to post here in a few hours...
