Do you think the farm you are hunting has Civil War activity, or do you think the spur was impressed into service on the farm after the war?

Since I didn't find any bullets or other war artifacts I think it was used on the farm after the war but who knows for sure. I only spent about an hour on the property detecting the front yard. The owner ownes 400 acres and told me to come back any time and he would show me where there used to be other houses on the property.
 

Hey, if you want some help hitting that farmhouse... or at least some company.. give me a shout. My son lives in JC and I am down about once a month.

Great find....Jefferson City is loaded with history....I have several places lined up to hunt there....so dont take it all! :wink:

In two weeks I will be moving to Missouri.....Yee haw!
 

That spur is in very good shape. Had an ex buddy that found one like that here in Virginia a while back. That is a very good find :wink: :wink:
