A bit of a dreary day, kinda wet. But, I get to walk so infrequently these days, I'll take it!

Appears that somebody's been shooting on this sports field. :dontknow:

Afraid I don't know from ammo. :dontknow:
That "cannonball" on the left is weird! What gun shot that?! Or would have?? :icon_scratch:

....and a lil something for the kids to fight over. ;)

Thanks for peeking!

So glad you got out, WHADI! Good finds. I’m starting to get that feeling you’re going to find something very cool! Keep taking them walks. [emoji4]

Alright Whadi!
Good outing. Lots of recoveries.
Most the parks I've hit turn up spent brass too. Mostly pre park stuff. Not all though.

Right on Brother. Getting out is a luxury these days. Best of luck out there!

Glad you went out for a walk Whadi. I've been wondering where you were.

Very nice finds my friend and I see you got paid for your efforts.

Dave

Thanks folks! Yeah, nowadays? *Anything* that even smacks of "normalcy", feels pretty darn good!

Anyone familiar with the ammo? :icon_scratch:

Looks like a fun walk for sure, where did you go if you don't mind me asking?

Just another meandering around a school yard. Can't be picky these days.
Thanks.

The piece of lead by your ruler, looks like a hollow point shotgun slug that a deer hunter would use. The rifle brass look like .223 Caliber, but it's hard to tell. I'm judging them by the narrow necks where the bullet came out.

If it helps any, here's a close up of the marks.

The "LC" stands for Lake City, where it was manufactured. The 13 indicates that it has some sort of federal/military usage, but I doubt it means 1913. 2013 would be my guess because of the condition of the casing.

I have two LC casings with a 62 on them, meaning made in 1962. During WWII, the codes would have been LC 43 (1943) LC 4 (1944) LC 45 (1945) Etc.

Good amount of casings for your walk. Strange necklace thing, what is it?
I like the lump of metal in far left, but that's me!:laughing7:
Everybody is happy and you got out walking that is awesome. Congrats! The coin count climbs. Soon those maybe rare.
