Me and fellow member beenfishin went out today with him producing a few modern silver coins like rosies and a few mercs. He was doing good on the silver i was zoning in on the copper. I ended up in a pocket spill of 5 Indians ranging from 1874 to 1903 also picked up 2 other indians elsewhere in the yard along with a few wheat cents . As ben was digging up a silver mercury dime , i popped my plug expecting a clad quarter in the high 70s. Not in the plug i dug down a bit more in the hole and out comes a copper disc covered in rings, Im thinking No way that just happened as i was looking at this coin in my book this morning. I yell out to him I got FUGIO!! And he comes in disbelief as a i always trick him into thinking i have something good. He says no way also as we rub some dirt off it and i thought i was dreaming! A 1787 Fugio cent i still cant believe it. Got a token to finish the day off a John Adams presidential token i believe is from the 60s. Can anyone id my button i was thinking it was civil war era i know ive seen them here before. Also got some silver a 925 earing and a silver spoon engraved with the name C. Rushmore.

Very nice variety of finds, especially like the pocket spill of Indians. Congratulations in your keeper finds!

Nice coin, good condition.

If the reverse of the button is rusted out it's probably not CW.

Freaking spectacular finds.

The Fugio copper is in great shape, congrats on the great hunt.

Congrats on a bunch of great finds. That Fugio Cent is outstanding !

Beautiful finds. Congratulations.

First let me say, "BANNER"
The Fugio is a rare coin to find and your's is in excellent condition. I would have it professionally cleaned, graded, and encapsulated by PCGS.
Your button is post civil war, Navy.
You hit an incredible pocket spill with 5 IHP's in one hole.
Your small spoon may be a souvenir spoon from Mt. Rushmore.
You also have what appears to be the boot end of a stirrup. A really excellent hunt.
Congratulations

Looks like an awesome day! Congrats!!!!

Now those are some sweet digs! Congratulations :icon_thumleft:

We had a great day man. I left all my stuff at home so i gotta postpone my post till i get home from work. I nailed the silver and you picked up the best dug fugio ive ever seen. Congradulations again. We just scratched the surface of that place!

The Fugio and the silver spoon ,the tribe - this is Banner in my estimation ! I don't believe your spoon is related to Mount Rushmore as suggested earlier ,it is likely circa 1840 thereabouts ,the mountain didn't get sculpted till the later 1920's .Good stuff !!

I was thinking that spoon was mid 1800s as well. If there is a maker mark you can search online for a date span

Congrats on digging the Fugio. :occasion14: I also think the IHC spill is another great dig. You rocked it on this hunt.
