It will find silver. I hit a small front yard of a early fifties home this morning. Wheat pennies were everywhere, 17 of them, so I knew that silver was likely to be there as well. I finally cornered a 1944 Mercury dime and 1956 Rosie. Both were heavily stained. Most of our coins in the area come out clean, but every once in awhile I find some that are greyed.

I set up the CZ in the Enhanced mode, 5.5 on the GB, sensitivity at 5.5, volume on '4' and '0' on the discrimination. This detector sure does run quiet!

This was my 59th hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year now stands at 172.

Tab... You Rock... Why when you were killing it with the F75 did you change detectors?

Congrats on your finds and thanks for sharing the pictures with all of us. The CZ-3D is one alsome machine and can find silver - rusty nails- pull tabs - square tabs & aluminum can slaw. Any way wish you many more alsome finds while out dirt fishing.

Still giving those silvers and Wheats a hard time, eh? Keep up the good work! :tongue3:

Congrats on the silver keep it up
Thanks! I'll slow down some this Summer, but I'll pick it up back up again this Fall. I really don't like detecting in hot humid weather.

Thanks! I like trying different detectors to see which one is the most fun to use. Also using a different detector to go back over a site a second time keeps me more focused. I was killing with my modded Cibola before I started my run with the F75. It gave me 3 gold rings and a bunch of silver coins back in January. I love that detector!

Thanks. I haven't had any problems so far with rusty nails. I read that if you leave the iron audio on, it will help in identifying iron. Also I've read that some CZ3D detectors handle iron better than others. However, it's slower recovery speed is taking some getting used to, since all my other detectors have super fast recovery speeds.

Thanks! I sure wish you were still here. You were the only one around here that I had any trouble keeping up with. I like a challenge.

Sweet hunt,
Always nice to come home with silver.
Congrats

Glad to see that new detector is finding good stuff! Have you started keeping track of your new silver coin streak?
