Metal Detecting
This is my first time out detecting since I got skunked. I decided to take my newly acquired CZ 3D out for a spin to see what it can do. To make it a real challenge I decided to go back over a large corner lot that Jason and I hit a few weeks ago. I believe we took over 10 silver coins including a Walking Liberty that Jason found.

I set up the CZ in the Enhanced mode, 5.5 on the GB, sensitivity at 5.5, volume on '4' and '0' on the discrimination. It's run super quiet even near the power lines. I dug all high audio tones. I ended up finding 14 wheat pennies, one a 1919 S, a bunch of clad coins, a 1950 Rosie, a 1943 War Nickel, a Commemorative coin and 2 pieces of sterling.

This was my 58th hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year now stands at 169.

Fantastic results with a new machine over recently hunted ground! Great detector and finds!

Nice hunt! I've never hunted with a CZ3D but it seems to be a very capable machine.

Congrats on a nice bunch of finds
Thanks! It was a learning experience.

Thanks! I always like going back over the same ground with a different detector or search coil.

Thanks! The 3D is different from the other CZ detectors. I like how the high tone range has been expanded to include Indian Head pennies. Also the nickel range has been lowered more into the foil range. The nickel range also gives off a high tone. I can see the odds of finding a gold ring being much better with this detector.

Congrats tabman! Love the Shiny!

It's sweet when a new detector breaths life into previously hunted sites. You certainly dug your share of targets and trash today. Congrats on those 6 keepers. :occasion14:
