Found this after hunting with vino,I was an hour and a half away from my house in vino's turf. We got permission, he found a 1929 merc, 1864 Indian and another Indian.I found a oil lamp and a 1919 s wheat.I left him assigned on the way in I had spotted a old abandon house. On the way home,I jumped out and ran through the yard. Just as I was leaving, out popped this 2 inches down.

Awesome, that has to make for a happy drive home. I would probably go in the ditch if I had to drive for over an hour trying to watch the road and not stare at that puppy laying on the seat beside me. Congrats

Wow ! You are living the dream brother !!!!!!!!!! That is a fairly rare find (most will never dig a silver dollar )

Hard to understand how something that big can be lost, isn't it? A kid must have buried it and then forgot it. Huge, huge find!:coffee2:

yep, still grinning

Isn't that the truth, I could not believe how big and thick it is. I can't stop holding it!

I just got home an hour ago, here are pic's from today, I hope you all enjoy them! HH

The little copper thing you have with the cross in pics 3 and 4 interest me because I found one last month, that is just a little different. Mine says Baptist instead of grace. You happen to know much about it? Mine came from a church parking lot in Abilene, Texas.

We were hunting a church property today, I know nothing about it, it says on the back, "Little cross and crown" I think? It was an old house across the st from the church. Giant yard, I might be back there tomorrow?

Lol, that's what she said! Great find buddy!

Mine has not stamp on the back, but it has something like a makers mark. Says something like:
Leavens MFG
(name of a town?) MASS.

Good luck tomorrow!

Thanks el remolino, I just found out it is a Denver Mint mark on my dollar.

Thanks guys, I got lucky today.

That's just awesome! You must have large coin radar!
