Allways re-check your hole! 1800's plate found.

Hit a pretty strong signal with my SH2 (although I was well inland this time!) and dug up a neat 4inch copper spike - just below however I noticed one tiny speck of white pottery - turns out to be an old English Staffordshire plate from mid 1800's.

just trying to identify the exact maker mark now!!

Always surprises me how these things end up halfway around the world!

Were you able to find all the pieces?

Id dig around that area some more - might be some old bottles - get a probe rod....

Great find there, I would be back there looking for the other piece.

Yes, after some thought and the above suggestions - will be heading back there today!!
