Saddest find I've ever made
To me, it's not "treasure". It's history. I was detecting the wreck site of the Faithful Steward which sank September 2, 1785 off the Delaware coast. I found a small silver ring from the site today. About 180 people died including women and children when that ship sank. Pictured is a small silver ring I found today. It's is very old and very fragile (found out the hard way), no markings and looks handmade. Upon closer examination it's an infant's ring. I did put 2 and 2 together...conclusion may be wrong, but it's probably from one of the infants who died in the wreck. The beach is not a popular tourist beach, and never has been.
Funny, two nights ago I had an odd dream that I was coming to the rescue of a "baby". In the dream, The baby was lightly covered like with a sheet lying on a flat surface, like the floor, somebody said the baby was blue, I figured in this dream the baby had died. Her name was Mary Regina. Awfully detailed dream for somebody I don't know. Odd. On a happier note I found a 1774 British halfpenny and a very old wheatie.
