awsome hunt :icon_thumleft: nice recoverys ;D MR TUFF

I would have happy danced for a second or 2 as well if I had found the coins like that. Then would have had the ever so familiar let down!

Looks like the machine is working for you.

Is the dog tag a military issue and can you make out the name if it is? Not to publish here, but to possibly return it to the owner or family.

Yup that SEF coil is great :icon_thumleft: Nice buttons Good hunt dd60

Looks like you still hit "Gold" pretty sure that is a NY 13th Militia Regiment button. It would be Albert's NY 49 or Tice's NY230. Tice's says the button is "common" but that is relative I suppose..

Love my 12x15 SEF coil makes the MXT ridiculously heavy but worth it. :tongue3:

Cool chain !! :icon_thumleft: :headbang:

Keep @ it and HH !! :D ;D

DG, the tag i think is for someones pet the name is Darwin and St. address phone #s that's all.
I was thinking about getting another machine but I figured I'd try a coil first. I'm happy i did

Some cool stuff Monkeyboy is right. the button is a 13th NY. Kind of hard to see the backmark but from what I can see I think your's is a bit post civil war as most of them are. I could be wrong on that though.

I cant make out the whole back mark but it is Waterbury for sure.
So what date would this be then ???

With just Waterbury it's hard to tell. It could be one of the many Scovill Mfg Co Waterbury backmarks or may just be Waterbury button company. If it is Waterbury Button Co Extra then more than likely it is civil war period. Impressed Waterbury backmarks without Extra are post civil war. If it's a Scovill mark it will be hard to tell without seeing it. If you can post a pic that could still help as someone might see something to tell for sure which backmark it is.

I dug a section to one of those bracelets last year and could not get much info.
