I originally posted this in the Everything now section, as that is where I normally post. I do read this section too, but until last night never had anything to post. Besides that; as I will mention, I have never had any paranormal experience in all my 57 years. I just hope I am not not going crazy.

I know this should probably be in the Paranormal section and will be moved, but I know many of you have read several of my posts and I wanted to share this with you. For once this is not a joke, or if it is, I have been the victim of a practical joke.

My best friend had spent the past week with me, although no longer dating we are still the best of friends. When she was home packing she asked if I had a hair dryer and a hand held mirror at home. I told I would would buy both as I did not own a hair dryer, and I had no idea where my mother's mirror was. My mother had passed away three ago, and I got rid of most of her possessions.

I went out shopping Friday for the hair dryer and 2 mirrors to keep my friend happy. I put a mirror in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom along with the hair dryer. So all went well until tonight. My friend just came to me minutes ago and said, "I see you found your mother's mirror". I had no clue what she was talking about and she said she found the mirror on the bed. Sure enough, I go in the room and there is a mirror on the bed and she swears that she did not place it there. I know for a fact that I did not, which she found hard to believe at first, especially with my track record in the practical joke department.

I keep an open mind to the paranormal and other things that we do not have a full understanding of, but this is the first time I have ever had the experience if it is not a joke. Maybe I'll have to beat the truth out of her later, just kidding. I can tell you this is quite an unsettling experience and gave me the willies for sure.

Another thing is that my aunt had passed away Feb 22nd and the priest was asking when he would see me in church. Well today was the day I did go to church and I have been away for a while. This really makes me think.

For once I really feel like the boy who cried wolf...

No; I had one new mirror in the bathroom the other on a dresser. This was my mother's mother which I haven't seen in over 3 years, nor did I have any idea where it was, or came from

My wife had this happen with a ring

Before we were married, so I'm just repeating her story. But she'd lost a ring given to her by her mother. Searched everywhere...yada, yada...the whole drill.

Years later it turned up sitting on the top of her dresser like it was never gone. Only possible explanation...someone else found it and put it there. But, in our house, with all it's mysteries...I can believe it was supernatural by design.

I, on the other hand, once lost a wallet with over $200.00 in cash. Thought I looked for it pretty well. Then a year or so later I just happened to see it between the wall and my dresser! But, in my case..at that time in my life...with all the foreign substances I was sampling, I believe it was Natural Light by Anheuser Busch.

Sucks getting old eh?

Maybe a paranormal experience....maybe your friend "borrowed" it several years ago and was simply returning it to relieve their conscious?

:icon_thumleft: I have had "similar" experiences; I think yer mom was "saying" she likes yer friend, and was trying to "help" you out... DO NOT be afraid. CARRY ON! At 57, GO FOR IT! :hello2:

IMO - Awesome experience. A gift from your mother. No need to rationalize it, explain it away, etc. You now have something of your mother's that you didn't think you had.

Again, I have to agree with the others, don't look a gift horse in the mouth! Look at it as a sign of approval from your mother toward the "friend" and don't make too much of it.

My brother used to live in a house that his family was positive was inhabited by an elderly lady. Any time they had ever misplaced something, they would ask for it to be found and within 2-3 days find it in the middle of the dining room table without fail!

there are more things in this world than ever dreamt of by man.
