Who says lightning can’t strike twice? The morning after searching for, finding, and returning a set of keys at Ocean City, MD I set out to metal detect at the beach once again. I found lots of change, a single key, a cheap ring, and a nice cross (not gold) from Assisi, Italy. Very close to the lifeguard chair where I found the cross appeared another key. This one had a room number and address to a local vacation apartment.
At first I thought it was one of the buildings right there but I quickly realized that it wasn’t. Back at our rental condo I looked up the Ocean Terrace Family Apartments and called the number. I explained to the owner that I found one of her room keys and she was happily surprised that I would bother calling. Instead of dropping the key in the mailbox, for which she would have been charged postage, I drove down to the boardwalk area with my family and returned the key personally!
Thanks for looking!
