I find it funny, my taste in music.

Yes, I listen to everything. 80's music, metal, heavy metal, rock, 50's 60's, 70's, Civil War camp songs, Civil War marches, Patriotic American music, Prussian Marching Songs, German Marching songs, 50's and 60's country, etc.


The guy in the picture makes me laugh, because even though I listen to stuff like Slipnot, Rammenstein (my favorite) etc, I'm just a normal kid, no perverse thoughts on life or society or whatnot. I don't dress funny, I don't talk like a moron. I don't wear all black. I never understood why people who like listening to metal like to act and dress up like freaks, and sing about very weird things? I just like a good guitar riff every once in a while.

I bought this recently for $70, with provenance that it came out of Italy. It's been struck twice by bullets, and has a stress crack on top of the dome. There is a large hole on the side that took out one of the air vents. I believe the big hole was caused by the two bullets, no doubt by then mushroomed. Whoever was wearing this helmet (if it was being worn) was killed.

There are remnants of "sand" camo paint, which is seen easily if the helmet is wet, which it is in the photos. I can also see trace amounts of the original green paint as well. I do not see any makers marks or lot numbers. At any rate, it's nice and clean, and a very nice piece of history.

What stories it could tell...
