Did my weekly coin run on Wednesday, but nobody had much (3 banks)

Each bank had 1 - $50 bag of pennies (3 total) and I picked up 1 - $1000 bag of quarters since I had cash left.

The quarters were a silver skunk, but did have:
5 Canadian (1979, 1982, 1990, 1993, 2005-P Saskatchewan)
1 Arcade Token
1 penny

Finished one bag of pennies the other night:
14 wheat pennies (1937-D, 1938, 1942-D, 1944, 1944-D, 1946, 1952-D, 1953-D, 1953-S, 1954-D, 1955-D, 1956, 1956-D, 1958-D)

33 Canadian (1963, 1965, 1968, 1970, 1974(2), 1975(2), 1977(2), 1979(2), 1981(2), 1982, 1984(2), 1987, 1988(2), 1991(2), 1992, 1994(2), 1995(2), 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003-P, 2004, 2004-P)

1 Foreign (Bahamas, 1 Cent (2001)

Re: coins searched from 12-12-2007

Just finished the second bag of pennies and got a first for me.

1 - 1984 Doubled Ear

Also got
20 wheat pennies (1911, 1919, 1944, 1944-D, 1945, 1946, 1947-S, 1948, 1949, 1950-D, 1951-D(2), 1953, 1953-D(2), 1956-D, 1957-D(3), 1958-D)

21 Canadian (1964, 1966(2), 1970, 1977(2), 1978, 1979(2), 1981, 1982(2), 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1992, 1999, 2001(2), 2002)

1 dime

In regards to the 1984 Doubled Ear, between 2006 and 2007 it only took looking at 8389 pennies through a magnifier to find one (all 1984 of course). Was starting to wonder if I would ever find one. :)

The battery on my camera is recharging. Once it is charged again, I'll post a picture of the Doubled ear.

I think I had #8389 in the office pool! ;D

Congrats GMan! Those 80's doubled dies are really eye strainers but it pays off why you find one. Now how 'bout an '83...

Congrats GMAN! Been looking for one of those myself, with no luck yet. And if you don't mind me asking, how in the hell did you know that you looked at 8389 1984's before you found this one??? I know you are really good at keeping your stats, but you could'nt have counted every '84 that you looked at!!! Could you?? HH and good luck on finding an '83. Gpurs...

Actually, yes I do keep track of how many of each year I look at when I look for errors. I was hoping to use the info to try to esitmate how many are left in circulation based upon on how often I find them against how many I look at. Technically I looked at a few before I started tracking them, but the number is low. Someday I'll post the spreadsheets I use on a website so others can download them and use them if they wish. Just haven't gotten around to that, been too busy searching. :)
