A TNet First? Tonight's half dollar box...
We've had a pretty rough start to the year so far, averaging less than 1 silver per box with only three 90% over 36 boxes. My lucky lady came through tonight though with the best score since we started hunting together to break up our dismal year!
The box started with 8 or so very clean clad proofs, but no silver. We thought the quality of the proofs were excellent for being in circulation leading us to believe that these could be a fresh dump. About halfway through the box she ripped into a roll with a big fat silver rim. I thought it was a modern silver proof, but it was a clean '64 Kennedy.
The next roll is where the fun really began. From the double silver roll (pictured below) she pulled out a 1963 Franklin proof and a 1970-D, our first ever! The '70-D is certainly a rare find in circulation. The next roll she pulled the other Franklin proof, 1962. In the NEXT roll (the fourth in a row) she pulled out ANOTHER 1970-D!! I haven't been on TNet very long, but can anybody here remember someone pulling two 1970-D's from the same box?
She rounded out the rest of the box by pulling two more fat '64's and a 40%. My box produced a little as well with one '64 and a pair of 40%. Thinking about bumping up next week's order to grab any other pieces of this partial collection dump. Enjoy the pics!
