MXT

I have two of the regular MXT's I didn't want to be without one if something ever happened to one and one can be a loner if a friend wants to detect, the MXT is as deep as any of the high end detectors with the right coil and gain setting and picks through trash great once you get to know it good. HH

You are right on there it is as deep as the high priced detectors.

Too few days to dig, too many detectors to choose from! Sigh! There are so many brands now, I'd have to drive 1,000 miles to test drive them all.

I just added an MXT Pro to my collection. Waiting patiently for the thaw now to try it out. Anxious to see how it compares to my Minelabs and AT Pro. 😁

Thaw? Who needs a thaw? Actually, I had to move 3" of frozen ground to get to the unfrozen ground today! But I think you're colder where you are.

It is every bit as deep as the E-trac, just don't be afraid to crank up the gain. Just keep it low enough to hear those deep whisper targets, I usually run at +2 gain but if your not around any EMI you could probably run +3 gain for even more depth. Make sure to use a good set of headphones to hear those really deep whisper targets though. HHQUOTE=Ogre1190;5689264]I just added an MXT Pro to my collection. It's the cold, more so than the ground, Smokey. Even double-gloved my fingers go numb in 10-15 mins in these winds. 😞

Got some nice GG phones with this one, Wingmaster. And four coils too. 😁

I saw the one you got man you got a deal on that one

Thanks, Keppy. 😁 It joins the stable and makes an even dozen now. 😂

I got an all pro the other day and love it, I feel like I can count on it compared to some other machines I have had and is very user friendly for people like me that fight technology, and all the gadgets out there

The MXT has the technology built as well and is as deep as any, it is user friendly though but some of us just want to spend more time detecting without having to go through programs to make changes. HH

I'll defer to the experts here on this one: If we ever see Spring here, most of the locales I'll be hunting are somewhat trash-Infested parks, schools and farms. Which coil do you suggest I start off with?IMAG5173.jpg

You'll need the big DD coil for depth as I find most parks the old silver left is really deep and the 6X9DD coil won't get great depth,it will separate better if your looking for newer drops like jewelry. I like finding the real old deep targets myself and usually use the D2 coil most of the time. HH

Thank you, Gentlemen! 🙋

I was also looking at a used MXT myself. More of a Tesoro or First Texas user but my dad always loved his whites. I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Looks like a pretty simple machine to operate

Simple but very capable with awesome depth, I like changing setting on the fly so I'm not wasting time going through a menu to make changes. HH

what's the diff

I have an origional mxt what is the diff for mxt pro and mxt all pro?
