Buckle found near Wissahickon Creek, Philadelphia

Seeking assistance identifying or dating it.
Copper alloy
Roughly 39mm x 50mm
Strap band broke while cleaning so I removed the rest of the rust, it came off cleanly and left no damage on the buckle itself.

There is nothing I love to find more than a big beautiful buckle. I'm guessing your piece would date to the early 1700's, based on a quick look through Ross Whitehead's reference book titled, " Buckles 1250-1800". Congrats on digging a fantastic bit of colonial era history!

Looks like horse tack with a raised bar....maybe a bit younger....1800s would be my estimate

I did look through that book but didn’t see anything exactly like it. I’ll comb through it again. It would be fantastic to be that old.
