I know Benson is just a dog to some people, but he is my best and constant friend. He's always with me where ever I go 24/7 and Tuesday evening he fell sick. Shakes, laboured breathing and not eating. He's in the hospital right now and it's touch and go. I just thought I'd maybe ask you guys for a few prayers for him if your not too busy.

Hi Judie, Benson will be 9 in August. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers

Hi Ian, so sorry to hear about Benson. I have had many furry friends in my lifetime, and I know they are like kids to my wife and I. We are praying for a fast recovery. He is still a young pup. Keep the faith.

Sorry to hear this! I will definitely say a prayer for Benson!:icon_thumright:
A pet is definitely just like a family member. Some really just grab your heart and mean the world to you! Please keep us posted!!

Great news, after loads of X-Rays, blood tests, more blood tests, pain medication, anti-inflammatories and who knows how many other tests and antibiotics Benson came home tonight. He's feeling a bit sorry for himself and I think he blames me for all the jabs etc, but he's feeling a lot better. So, a BIG THANK YOU from me for all your thoughts and prayers.

Wonderful news!!!!:hello2: What was wrong?

The vet isn't sure, but it could have been some kind of bite, maybe an adder plus he is getting old, and that doesn't help. But he was straight back into the ditches tonight and he hasn't let me out of his sight, nor me him:laughing7:. We have been watching his fave tv shows and snacking on his fave treats tonight, tomorrow we are going on his best walks with camera:thumbsup:. Thanks for caring:icon_thumright:

Great news !! The way you're describing Benson's routine and tv shows, I thought you were talking about my herd. lol Our hairballs do have their favorite shows !!

Hope Benson continues to get better each day.

Ian, I was sorry to hear about Benson, but I am so pleased he is back home with you now, and I hope his recovery will carry on just fine. We had our last dog for 14 yrs, and were heartbroken when she died. I would have had another dog, but hubby said 'no more'. He couldn't go thru it again.

Just a couple of pics of Benson's afternoon walk, and swim, to say thanks to you all. As you can see, with all the trauma of being in hospital, Benson now thinks he can breath underwater:laughing7:
