The link above is the actual download link. Once installed, it will give the option to upgrade to V4.1 Beta. Below is a screenshot of my controller as updated a few minutes ago... Enjoy!

What is it supposed to do? I have not seen any issues with my 4.0 download.

This is copied directly from Gary on another forum:

The improvements to 4.1 are only small details such as an improved MI-6 radio link, the update does not alter the signal processing.

Here are the list of patches:

- Improved radio link between the pinpointer MI-6 and the DEUS. The connection is more efficient, even in the DEUS WS4 (lite) version (DEUS controlled by headphones).
- Faster coil to headphone connection (lite version). Sometimes the coil had to restart several times before connecting to the headphones.
- The Go-Detect application for smartphone that is still under development will work with all remote controls, even the oldest ones. Up to now, some remote controls could not activate the Go-Detect mode.
- Plus some other minor improvements in static all metal mode or battery measurement.

I installed it. I love updates. I totally forgot that I'd lose my custom settings. Not that big of a deal. I worked my front yard and found a couple of coins. I'm not sure if it's better, but it's not any worse.

Nice! Can't wait to get outside and try it tomorrow. Looks like they've made some connectivity improvements with the pinpointer and the headphones.

FWIW: A friend of mine talked to Andy Sabisch a couple days ago, who warned him to avoid the beta versions. I do not know why he said that, but caveat emptor.

"- The Go-Detect application for smartphone that is still under development will work with all remote controls, even the oldest ones. Up to now, some remote controls could not activate the Go-Detect mode."

Oh, thank GOD! Its about time they make the non-existent program work will all remotes!

I use XP Detect anyway. It's worked with my 9" HF coil since it was first released.

It does seem to connect with the coil better, I was having issues sometimes having to restart the remote 4-5 times before it would connect.
Hope fully there is a few hidden fixes for iron sounding amazing some days.

What forum was that? Couldn't find it.
Thanks

I was running the V4.1 today without issues. In fact made some really interesting finds in the local field but I can't necessarily equate to the upgrade.

Looking forward to the app for my Iphone. I am a data guy and the app is just what I am looking for. Can't wait for the release.

Hey man, sent you a text. Get back to me when you can please.

Things I have noticed
- pin point sound is now different more high pitched
- can't get 11 inch coil to connect to XP Detect, could with V4
- Pin Point mode seems less sensitive
- connects much faster to the coil using remote and headphones.

Just finished 4 hours with V4.1. No issues with pin pointer or 11 inch coil. In fact, i had a really good hunt. No issues that I can see.

You don't notice a change in pin pointer sound?
