I was hunting one of my best spots tuesday 10/12 where I've found 2 capped bust dimes, a 1782 half Reale and 13 pre 1835 Large Cents last year. I found this beauty in the soybean field where the house used to dump I'm guessing. It's the oldest coin I've ever found and in the best shape of the half Reales I've found. The Capped bust I dug from a nearby hotspot on 6/20...thanks for looking

awesome finds! once i started looking into nearby history, i was surprised just how old the butler/warren county areas are.

they are great finds. I live in Warren County and hunted at an old in built in 1837 and had been hunted allot. first ten minutes I was there I found a very rare 1842 New Orleans mint. Dime in almost mint condition. Along with a silver piano charm I had a great day. I am retired and hunting as much as possible. Wish I had access to a few more sites like that one. There is allot of history in Lebanon and Warren County. My friend found a militia buckle from the Civil War called a Star of Stars buckle when we were hunting Mt Echo Park in Cincinnati this fall. Ohio Militia Battery stationed there from 1862-64 watching Ohio River for troops like Morgans Raiders. it pays to hunt hunted out parks!

Lebanon is a good spot, a lot of history there. I've hunted in that area there several times, Middletown has lots of good spots as well!
