All past finds, idk why almost every Savannah River I find is snapped. The stem thatā€™s black and red Iā€™ve never found another like that material. Then some tan with white same area as the red and black. Unfortunately they didnā€™t turn those fields again this year. Spray and plant.

Some more a few spokeshaves to. The first or last one I found each half in a creek a year apart. Once in a lifetime probably

Ouch on those ā˜¹ļø. That red and black is awesome. In my areas I've found light purple flakes (no points or tools of that color)and blue heat treated chert; only found 2 small points and a few random flakes of that, nothing else. It's usually the straight up killers that are broke.

That's some really sharp stuff you found. Sure is a lot of variety in materials. I picked up a piece today that seems really similar to some of yours. At first I thought it was just a blasted rock, but the more I look at it it seems they were working it into a scraper, possibly? It's so smooth, like glass.

That's always been my main finds, brokes 10 to 1.
Those fields out there have some amazing materials. They just havenā€™t turned the fields in the last 3 years. The other farmer turns his every year but wonā€™t let me walk his. What a bummer

Some are field and some are creek finds. Creek flooded again so no hunting for a week or 2. All are some nice material. Idk if anyone noticed but the SR on the right is some crazy lite material no wonder it broke.

Crazy about the two halves. Did you know it when you found it
No I didnā€™t know until I went through my tub from that creek. You can see the flaking matches up to both pieces. I would glue them back together but itā€™s missing just a hair between them. It was a super creek for colorful chert Iā€™ve lost permission there 3 years ago now.
There is a Dalton or Paleo base in that mix the black one

I agree with twincent11 those are some nice finds.

Iā€™ve still got spokeshaves on the list of boxes I havenā€™t checked.

You should check them
Believe me Iā€™m trying, my spots arenā€™t as good as some of the people here who come home with 6 months to a years worth of points in an afternoon, but persistence is the biggest reason I have what I do, they are out there just tough to find

I find some usually even if I donā€™t post them. When I get to go which hasnā€™t been in a few weeks. One creek has been producing net sinkers which arenā€™t very attractive. Just flat rocks with notches removed. Usually made from shale type of schist mix. Iā€™m not sure what that means as to what might be washing out. Iā€™ve never found them before. I might keep a good example next trip for a pic
