Hi everyone.

My name is Walter Pantovic and I have been collecting items that are associated with slavery and the civil war here in the states.

Please see pics. My collection is housed at the Avery Research Center for Black Culture at the College of Charleston in S.C.

It is a few hundred items, mostly relics, period photograghs, manuscripts newspapers, etc.
I am very proud of my achievement as many of you are.

Now with lurking about this board for a while, you all have inspired me to go out and purchase a metal detector which I am doing today.

I hope to find some great items to add to my collection on my hunts down south.

You guys have inspired me.

Thank you.
Walter

hi Fossis , Hi Ron,

thank you both for the vote of confidence. I have always loved American history especially the rev war, civil war, and slavery.

It never ceases to amaze me what I see you guys on this forum turning up on a daily basis and I want to be a part of it.

The people on here must be proud of their accomplishments and I'm hoping I too can become part of this thing you guys have with the new Minelab Explorer I just purchased. (YAY!)

Ill keep a look out for your posts in other areas of this forum .

Thanx
Walter

Walter, fine work you are doing there. It is amazing what people do to each other ??? I live in South Africa, so in a sort of way know what what it was like.... We treated the black nation as dirt for many years. I would like to see more of your collection.
Hope that you do well with the metal detecting, it is a great hobby, and the people here are like family ;D

God bless
Peter
