Hi. My Sand Shark appears to have developed a problem since it was last turned on (approx six months or so ago). When switched on it will make the correct noises for Threshold and Battery Test however will not respond to any metal near the coil - no change to the tones at all in both VCO and Normal modes. Has fresh batteries (tested with a multimeter to make sure). Would anyone know where/if it could still be repaired? Guessing if I have to ship it to the US (I'm in Australia) it won't be worth it but you never know. Thanks.

Since Tesoro is out of business, good luck.
You might try a local electronics shop though, I know that they can test circuits and things..
I used to have a lot of Tesoro's but its been a long time..
It sounds like your coil is no longer connected to the circuitry... for some reason..
