Has anyone or know of anyone that has ever combed the beaches here and found anything of value? I read somewhere that people did find gold coins on the beach that may have washed ashore from some of the oldtime shipwrecks but not sure how far that goes..

My cousin had a trailer in the campground there. One day while walking down the road found a gold coin in the sand. He also found a bunch of fake morgan dollars rolling in the surf. They were tokens from the depression. I detected the surf and only found zinc pellets.
